Educated at the University of Pretoria for both his undergraduate and postgraduate studies, Dr Amaambo has also earned accolades through a fellowship with the College of Surgeons of South Africa. His dedication to advancing his expertise in the field of minimal access surgery led him to pursue further specialisation, achieving a fellowship and diploma from the World Association of Laparoscopic Surgeons, highlighting his passion for laparoscopy and robotics.
Dr Amaambo’s expertise spans the full range of general surgery procedures, ensuring comprehensive care for his patients. His services include but are not limited to laparoscopic surgery, in-office and in-hospital endoscopy, management of gallstone disease, treatment of peptic ulcer and gastro-oesophagal reflux disease, diverticular disease, chronic abdominal pain, hernias, oncology (covering breast, thyroid, soft tissue tumours, etc), and urgent surgical conditions such as acute appendicitis and intestinal obstruction.

Dr Hafeni Amaambo is a young energetic specialist surgeon. He has a special interest in laparoscopic surgery and surgical emergencies. However, he enjoys all aspects of general surgery. His colleagues and patients describe him as a meticulous surgeon who pays significant attention to the finest detail and is always willing to assist. Hafeni obtained his undergraduate and postgraduate training at the University of Pretoria, as well as a fellowship with the College of Surgeons South Africa. Due to his dedication and passion for laparoscopy and robotics, he further obtained a fellowship and diploma in minimal access surgery from the World Association of Laparoscopic Surgeons.
